"Where does the rubbish go?" asked Asha.
"Does the rubbish go in a garbage truck?" asked Joel
Nicholas wanted to know "Where does all of the rubbish come from?"
"How much rubbish do you see everyday?" wondered Jack
Hugh asked "How long do the bins take to empty?"
Lily pondered "What do you use to clear the bins?"
Frankie wanted to know "Does the rubbish go to the recycling centre?"
Indy asked "What happens to our rubbish? What does it turn into?"
"Do we give any of our rubbish to chickens?" asked Izzy.
Mr C answered all of our questions. Ask us about some of his answers!
We then went on a walk to look at the worm farms and we saw some of the food scraps in there! We aren't allowed to put citrus scraps in the food bins anymore because the citrus fruits kill the worms!
Great job, you are all now more waste wise, frankie maybe you can now be in charge of our worm farm 😉

ReplyDeleteWhat a great little trip to do in our school - aren't we lucky to have Mr C to help teach us all about our waste. It's also good to know that worms can't have citrus. I wonder why?
