It was great to see so many Room 16 students and parents at the disco. We managed to get a couple of pictures but unfortunately many didn't work out because of the lighting.
Today we used the chromebooks and iPads to search for information about Desert habitats and Rainforest habitats. We entered 'rainforest facts for kids' into the search engine on Google to get relevant information. We then presented this information on a Venn Diagram.
Scooter Fun Day!
We learnt how to ride our scooter safely on a footpath.
We learnt how to weave and turn.
We learnt to stop and look for cars before going over a driveway.
We learnt to stop and walk on a zebra crossing.

Small Ball Skills
We are learning to:
Throw a small ball using correct techniques for overarm and underarm
Catch a small ball using correct techniques
Aim and throw the ball at the target with accuracy
Strike the ball using the correct techniques for cricket and softball from a static position and moving.
We know we have achieved this when we can:

Next week we will be starting our unit on ball skills. We will be doing these rotations every Friday afternoon. The children need to have their sports uniforms and sports shoes at school every Friday this term.
