Jammies In June

Thank you Room 14 families for our amazing contribution to our jammies drive. What a wonderful array of pyjamas we had donated. Some of our senior students will deliver the pyjamas to Middlemore Hospital over the coming weeks.

Visual Art!

On Monday and Tuesday we created some fantastic clowns using pastels on blue card.  Firstly, we followed specific instructions on how to draw our clown outlines.  We had to think about the proportion and shape of our clown faces, hats and shoulders.

We then added pastel to our faces and hats, before colouring the shoulders.

We limited the use of colour to just two or three pastels for our backgrounds, because we thought this may make our clowns stand out better.

We are all very proud of our awesome clowns!  Come into Room 14 and have a look!

Oral Language Programme

This week we have started sharing a time when we displayed a learner disposition.  We need to be prepared on our day, ready to share.  Look at the great job Nicholas, Asha and Jack did today!

Asha talked about how she had to be resilient at Gymnastics, and all of her hard work paid off with receiving a bronze medal in the weekend.  Awesome effort Asha!

Nicholas spoke to us about displaying resilience, and shared how he had to persevere at cricket in the summer.  He found bowling difficult at first, but he can now bowl.   You were so well prepared Nicholas- well done!

Jack shared a time at after school care, when he had to work in part of a team to complete a challenge. He said he had to be a reciprocal learner and work well with others.  You did a great job talking about the learner dispositions Jack!
