Agriculture Day Information

Agriculture Day is a very important day here at Clevedon School. It involves many members of the local community and is an important link to Clevedon School's history and rural flavour.  In our Ag day students are given the opportunity to display their ability to care for and train an animal, or their ability to care for and cultivate a plant.
ALL students are expected to register either a plant, animal or pet for participation in Ag day activities (only one category maybe entered).

Timetable for Ag Day Build Up
Please keep this handy and note the activity and build up for the week ahead.

Jolly Jars…
For all new families to our school - here is all the information you need regarding Jolly Jars.
Jolly jars are a tradition of Ag Day. Each child creates a jar (plastic)  full of goodies which can be themed e.g boys or girls, can be craft related, can be stationery related, can be sweets. The jar is decorated and they look amazing.

We bring these to school and then the day before Ag Day we sell them for $2.00, $3.00, $4.00, $5.00, depending on the size and contents,
The organisation is traditionally  that every child makes one jolly jar and brings it and then buys one on the day at school.
We have some wonderful grandmas and nanas who love making these and enjoy doing them for the children… maybe you have someone at your place who might like to do this for us. Here are some of the wonderful jolly jars we have received in past years…..
