Swimming sports
Our junior swimming sports will take place this Friday starting at 12.15pm at the school pool. Juniors will have lunch early and then all be involved in the sports events. We encourage parents to attend and look forward to having you there with us.
While our swimming sports is about swimming, participating and enjoying ourselves, it is also a time when we teach our young children to celebrate and support others. In order for us to teach these values, all children will remain at school and participate until the end of the swimming carnival. You will be able to sign your children out at the end only.
This is as important to us in terms of teaching and learning as the swimming sports and your support will be very much appreciated.
Bap Stall, Sausage Sizzle and ice blocks on Friday
To celebrate the swimming sports some of our parents will be running the bap stall, sausage sizzle and ice blocks tomorrow, 11 February. Juniors will need to order their lunches with their class teachers in the morning. They will be able to purchase baps, sausages and lemonade ice blocks. The prices are: baps $5, sausages $2 and ice blocks $1.
The Y1-3 students will be eating their lunches earlier as we can't allow food in the swimming pool area. Students who order ice blocks will be only be able to collect them when all the events have finished.
Kind reagrds
Totara and Pohutukawa Team
